We regard this as a series of independent events.  Thus, the prob. of knocking down all 10 hurdles is (2/3)^10.

Answer: Option 'a' is correct.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Probability that he jumps a hurdle =
(2)/(3)

Total number of hurdles = 10

Probability that he knocks down =
1-(2)/(3)=(1)/(3)

So, Probability (knocks down all hurdles ) is given by

((1)/(3))^(10)\\\\=(1)/(59049)

Hence, Option 'a' is correct.
