Amygdala is the region of the brain which was identified by scanning technology that is associated with fear. Amygdala is an almond-shaped section of the brain located at the end of the hippocampus which is responsible for the response and memory of emotions, especially fear. Two amygdalae are found in each human normally, with one amygdala on each side of the brain.
