This method for capturing CO₂ from air or from any other source was developed by two scientists names as Lackner and Zeman. This methodology is very helpful from stopping CO₂ to enter our atmosphere and result in Global warming. The reaction of NaOH with CO₂ is as follow,

2 NaOH + CO₂ → Na₂CO₃ + H₂O

This is a type of liquid gas reaction and evolves around 5.3 kJ/mol heat.
