A proportion is two or more parts, share or numbers that are considered comparative relation to a whole.

Basically, when you have two fractions, 2/4 and 3/6 for example, they will equal the same amount even if their numbers are different. Normally, we would reduce both of these fractions to 1/2 because 2 is 1/2 of 4 and 3 is 1/2 of 6.

With this information you should be able to figure out which choices are proportionate and which isn't. (hint** only one answer isn't proportionate)

Hey there! :D

We are basically trying to find fractions that equal each other.

3/12= 1/4 4/16= 1/4

The first option applies.

5/8= 5/8 (simplest form) 8/15= 8/15 (simplest form)

The second does not apply.

1/6= 1/6 (simplest form) 5/30= 1/6

The third option does apply.

18/12= 3/2 3/2=3/2 (simplest form)

The fourth option does apply.

The first, third, and fourth option are the answers.

I hope this helps!
