Slope intercept form is y=mx+b. y and x are variables while m is the slope and b is the y intercept. To find the slope us the formula (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=mMake sure the y2 and x2 are from the same ordered pair. Also, make sure the y1 and x1 are from the same ordered pair. To find the y-int, choose an ordered pair and plug it into the y=mx+b equation. You should have already found the slope m from above so you will have a numerical value for y, m, and x. All you will have to solve for is b. m= (-2-(-7))/(6-3)=5/3 Finding b: -2=(5/3)(6)+b-12=b answer: y=(5/3)x-12
