Answer:

A microscope is capable of enormously magnifying the specimen kept under its objective lens. Thus, looking at an item through a microscope can allow us to understand better the basic structure of that item.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • A number of scientific properties of a specific item can be derived from the way it is structured.
  • These structures can be cellular, molecular, atomic, etc. Thus, a microscope helps us acquire crucial knowledge about the items looked at through it.
  • A microscope serves the purpose of providing a magnified view into various specimens.
  • This magnification of the specimen can be done as deep as to the level of its atomic structure (depending upon the power of microscope).
  • Thus, the microscopes play an important role in the study of various items (e.g. different elements and compounds).
