Number of ways to choose a hat = 3
Number of ways to choose a shirt = 4
Number of ways to choose a pant = 2

According to the fundamental rule of counting, the total ways to make a dress will be the product of the individual numbers an item can be chosen.

So,the number of outfits that can be made = 3 x 4 x 2 = 24 outfits.

Hence, the person can make 24 different outfits.
