Hello!

We are given the exchange rate for $4:

4 dollars = 8 pa’anga

We are now asked to find the exchange rate for $12. We’ll begin by calculating the number of times $4 will go into $12:

12 ÷ 4 = 3

We have now proven that $4 goes into $12 a total of 3 times. Now simply multiply the known exchange rate of $4 by 3:

(8 pa’anga) × 3 = 24 pa’anga

We have now proven that $12 would return 24 pa’anga.

I hope this helps!

$4 = 8 pa'anga.

14/4 = 3

3*8=24

You would get 24 pa'anga if you exchanged $12
