One number is 5 less than 2 times a second number. If 4 more than twice the first number is decreased by three times the second, the result is 6. Find both numbers

x--------> first number
y--------> second number

we know that
x=2y-5-------> equation 1
4+2x-3y=6 ------> 2x-3y=2------> equation 2

substitute the equation 1 in equation 2
2*[2y-5]-3y=2-------> 4y-10-3y=2----> y=2+10-----> y=12
x=2y-5-----> x=2*12-5----> x=19

the answer is
first number is 19 and second number is 12
