Hello!

If you are out on the water and you do not understand what another boater intends to do then you should do five or more short blasts. You should sound the danger and doubt the signal.

Good luck :)

Answer:

One prolonged blast followed by two short blast at intervals of two minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sound signals that are used in the water are similar to the light indicator signal which is used in the roads. They are a form of communication with each other whether be it road or in water.

Sound signals that are used in water consists of both short and prolong blasts which can be audible from a distance mile.

When I am in water and fails to understand what the other boater tries to do, I will give the sound signals which will allow him to locate my boat so that we can avoid any collisions. The signal goes as follows:

One prolonged blast followed by two short blast at intervals of two minutes.
