None of your choices are correct unless your equation is false.
Solve for x over the real numbers:
abs(2 x + 12) = 0
Eliminate the absolute value:
2 x + 12 = 0
Factor constant terms from the left hand side:
2 (x + 6) = 0
Divide both sides by 2:
x + 6 = 0
Subtract 6 from both sides:
Answer: x = -6
