A rectangular solid has sides of 10 cm, 6.5cm and 8.3 cm. What is the volume and the surface area?

Part (1):
Volume of the rectangular prism can be calculated as follows:
volume = length * width * height
We are given the three dimensions, therefore, all we need to do is substitute in the above equation as follows:
volume = 10 * 6.5 * 8.3
volume = 539.5 cm³

Part (2):
Surface area of rectangular prism an be calculated as follows:
Surface area = 2(length*width) + 2(width*height) + 2(length*height)
Surface area = 2(10*6.5) + 2(6.5*8.3) + 2(10*8.3)
Surface area = 130 + 107.9 + 166
Surface area = 403.9 cm²
