Hamlet says that he would "drink up easel, eat a crocodile" to show his love for Ophelia. This is an example of hyperbole.

This is an example of hyperbole.
Hyperbole is a figure of speech which authors use when they want to show some exaggeration. So, Hamlet wouldn't really drink up Eisel, or eat a crocodile - he is just trying to say that he loves Ophelia very much and that he would do anything for her. This turned out to be a lie because he didn't really love her and she did kill herself.
