Hi there!

I believe the answer you're looking for is that redox reaction takes place between the two substances, forming sulphur dioxide and water.

Sulphur is oxidised to sulphur dioxide by hot and concentrated sulphuric acid, and the acid also gets reduced to the same product (sulphur oxide) by sulphur.

Hope this helps! :)
