The principles of the U.S. Constitution is popular sovereignty which means that the government was not allowed to create a law that the people were not for or didn't think would be good for the union. Limited government means that there is a limited amount of power and can't fulfill all of the people's needs. Separation of powers is how the government is separated into three parts, Judicial, Executive, and Legislative and how each part depends on each other to enforce, pass and create laws. Checks and balances how the three branches can stop laws that have been portrayed. Judicial review is an important part of Checks and balances and it stops any 'bad' law to be passed. Republicanism is how America isn't allowed to have so much power, can't be overpowered. Federalism is how the government makes this country be united.
Hope this helps!
