a) Find the acceleration, assuming it to be constant.

a = Δv ÷ t

t = 5 seconds

Δv = v2 - v1

v2 = 0 m/s

v1 = 54 ÷ 3.6 = 15 m/s ----> a = (0 - 15) ÷ 5 = -15 ÷ 5 = -3 m/s²
