The radius of the base of a cone is 4 inches. the slant height of the cone is 6 inches. which is closest to the surface area of the cone?

The answer should be 125.66 inches.

So you know two things, the radius and the slant height.

The formula you are going to use is SA=π•r^2+π•r•L

SA= Surface Area
r = Radius
L= Slant Height

So now you plug the variables into the formula.


\pi * {4}^(2) + \pi * 4 * 6

\pi * 16 + \pi * 24

40 * \pi = 125.66
After just pick the answer closest to this one. And you should get the correct answer. :)
