Answer:

Weight of honey required to fill bath tub is 435kg

Honey is 1.45 times heavier than water

Step-by-step explanation:

Rough volume of a bathtub is 300 litres

density of honey is 1.45 kg/L

Density of honey in bath tub is given by

\rho = (mass)/(volume) where, mass is the weight of honey in bath tub and volume is volume of bath tub

on substituting the given values in above equation we get

1.45 =
(mass)/(300)

⇒1.45 x 300 = mass of honey in bath tub or weight of honey

weight of honey required to fill bath tub is 435kg

density of water is 0.997 kg/L

therefore for the same amount of volume the ratio of weight of honey to water is equal to ratio of density of honey to water

(W_h)/(W_w) = (\rho_h)/(\rho_w)

on substituting the value of densities we get

(W_h)/(W_w) = (1.45)/(1)

honey is 1.45 times heavier than water
