Of a squirrel's hidden nuts, for every 5 that get found, there are 3 that do not get found. A squirrel hid 40 nuts all together.

How many of the nuts do not get found?

24 nuts. You take 40 divided by 5 and you get 8, then take 8 multiplied by 3 and you get 24

Divide 40 and 5 and multiply the answer by 3. That should give you your answer.
