Distribute. a(b+c)= ab+ac
-24(4x-3)= -96x+72
8(x-9)= 8x-72
7x-96x+72=8x-72+30
89x+72= 8x-42
Add 42 to both sides.
89x +114= 8x
Subtract 89x from both sides.
114= -81x
Divide both sides by -81.
x= -1.77778 or -1 7/9
