we know that
foci on x-axis-------> is a ellipse with horizontal major axis
the equation is
(x²/a²)+(y²/b²)=1
major axis is th
e
x
-axis with length
2
a
2a=14--------> a=7
minor axis is the y
-axis with length
2
b
2b=4-----> b=2
the equation is
(x²/a²)+(y²/b²)=1------> (x²/7²)+(y²/2²)=1-----> (x²/49)+(y²/4)=1
the answer is
(x²/49)+(y²/4)=1
