Average rate of change [5,7] = (1469 - 549)/(7-5) = 460
Average rate of change [2,4] = (287 - 39)/(4-2) = 124

460 - 124 = 336

answer
336

Average rate = to the slope on the specific intervals

let m be the average rate

m=(y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁)

m₅₇=(1469-549)/(7-5)

m₅₇ = 460

m₂₄=(287-39)/(4-2)

m₂₄= 124

so m₅₇ is 336 times greater than m₂₄
