A rectangle field is five times as long as it is wide. If the perimeter of the field is 288 yards, what are the field's dimensions?

$x + x + 5x + 5x = 288 \\ 12x = 288 \\ x = 24$

Width = 24 yards
Length = 24 x 5 = 120 yards

Area =

$24 * 120 = 2880 \: sq. \: yrds$
