What must you do if you multiply one number in a ratio by n?

Hi there!

From what I know, when you multiply one number in a ratio, you must also multiply the other number by the same number. This allows for the ratio to stay the same, thus keeping it correct. If both terms were not multiplied by n, the ratio would no longer be the correct ratio.
