I believe that the conclusion would be the fate of the transferred cells had not been determined before they were transferred. During the course of embryonic development, mesenchymal progenitor cells originating from the somites, undergo a multistep differentiation process to form muscle fibers and muscle mass. Each somitic area contributes to the formation of the muscles. Muscles are attached to specific bones by tendons.
