lne equals 1 because they cancel each other out. e is the base of ln.
For example: log has a base of 10, log10 = 1

We are to find the value of ln(e)

ln stands for Natural Log. The Base of the natural log is e. So we can also write the given expression as:

ln(e)= log_(e)(e)

When the base of log is equal to the value for which you are finding the log, the answer is always equal to 1.

So the answer to this question is 1.
