If point N is translated 6 units to the left and 5 units down, what are the coordinates of N'?

Well it would just be (6,5) if N had no coordinates which we can assume is 0

Explanation:

Let the position of point N (0,0)

As we know in a graph, a graph consist of horizontal and vertical lines.

The horizontal line, known as x axis, consist of negative numbers on the left side of number line and positive numbers on right side of number line separated by 0.

Similarly, the vertical line , also know as y axis consist of negative numbers on the below side of number line and positive numbers on above side of number line separated by 0.

If we translate point N 6 units to left from origin, then the x coordinate is -6

Similarly, if we translate 5 units to down, than y coordinate is -5

Hence, the coordinates are (-6,-5)
