=(6p + 8)(5p - 8)
multiply each term in left parentheses by each term in right parentheses; use the FOIL method: multiply first, outside, inside, last

=(6p*5p) + (6p*-8) + (8*5p) + (8*-8)
multiply

=30p^2 - 48p + 40p - 64
combine like terms

=30p^2 - 8p - 64


ANSWER: 30p^2 - 8p - 64
