Probability that the point chosen is not inside the shaded area is given as follows:
Probability=(area of unshaded part)/(area of the large circle)
Area of unshaded part will be:
A=(area of large circle)-(area of small circle)
area of large circle=πR²=π×5²=25π in²
area of small circle=πr²=π×3²=9π

Area of un-shaded part=25π-9π=16π in²
thus the probability that part chosen is not shaded will be:
16π/25π
=0.64
=64%

Answer: 64%
