Arrangement of electromagnetic radiation in increasing order of energy or decreasing order of wavelength is called as electromagnetic spectrum. Electromagnetic radiation is arranged in following order in electromagnetic spectrum:
Radiowaves, Microwaves, Infrared waves, Visible waves, UV rays, X rays

Following are contrasting feature of microwaves and visible ways
1) Wavelength: Microwave (0.1 to 100 cm); Visible rays (400 - 800 nm)
2) Frequency: Microwave (300 GHz – 300 MHz); Visible rays (770 THz – 400 THz)
3) Energy: Microwave (1.24 meV – 1.24 µeV); Visible rays (3.2 eV – 1.7 eV)
