A wavelength in physics is the distance over which the waves shape repeats. Basically the distance between two successive points. It is measure in the direction of the wave. This means the long the wave length, lower the frequency. In the same manner, shorter the wavelength, higher will be the frequency. Hopefully this helps :) have a great day :)
