Determine the standard form of the equation for the circle

With center (h,k)=(-5,1/2) and radius r=1

A) (x-5)^2 + (y + 1/2)^2 = 1

B) (x-5) + (y - 1/2) = 1

C) (x+5)^2 + (y - 1/2)^2 = 1

D) (x+5)^5 + (y- 1/2)^2 = 105/2

Hello!

I believe the answer is C) (x+5)^2 + (y - 1/2)^2 = 1.

I hope it helps!

The standard form of a circle is
(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2. We will fill in our h, k and r accordingly.
(x-(-5))^2+(y- (1)/(2))^2=1^2 which simplifies down to
(x+5)^2+(y- (1)/(2))^2=1 choice C. There you go!
