an equation that expresses the gross weight of an aircraft as a function of its landing speed will be given as follows:
V= √1.223w
we make w the subject of the equation, we start by dividing both squaring both sides:
V²=(√1.223w)²
V²=1.223w
next we divide both sides by 1.223 to get :
V²/1.223=1.223w/1.223
w=V²/1.223
hence the answer will be w=V²/1.223
