Area of parallelogram = base x height

Area = 12 1/2 x 17 1/5 = 25/2 x 86/5 = 215 yd²

Area of a parallelogram is just base * height.

12 and 1/2 becomes 25/2

17 and 1/5 becomes 85/5

Now we multiply.

(25)/(2) ( (86)/(5) ) = (2150)/(10) = 215

Your area is 215 yd²
