Mara ran 3km north ad then 4km east. she will finish her run by running directly home. What is the total distance of her run

You can solve this with the Pythagorean theorem.

{3}^(2) + {4 }^(2) = {c}^(2)
9+16=25, and the square root of 25 is 5. This is your answer.

d^2=9+16
d^2=25

So the total distance of her run is 5+4+3=12 km
