What is the length of the diagonal of a square with 8 foot sides?

Using the Pythagorean Theorem,

a² + b² = c²

c² = 8² + 8²

c² = 64 + 64

c² = 128

c = √128

c =8√2 (radical form) or 11.31 feet (nearest hundredth)

Answer: 11.31 feet
