Answer: C. An associate should continue to smile and try to be of some help in this type of situation.

Explanation: Being polite to the rude person will help to diffuse the situation and might make the customer happy. As long as the customer is not being threatening, there is no need to implement the other responses.

Hope this helps! :)

Answer: C

Explanation: staying calm and being empathetic towards customers is very important. You never know what is going on with the customer and what is the reason for being rude. They might be having personal problems and it has nothing to do with you. They might have suffered a loss, they might be having financial problem or relationship problem or at work. There is number of issues they could be experiencing. So staying calm and smiling and listening to them and trying to help them in any way you can is truly important and they will appreciate it.
