To put it bluntly for this first one, organisms provide food, straight up food like meat or plants. Then there are organisms that provide extremely complicated medicinal products, you can extract the organisms genetic code and then replace the faulty code, this is gene therapy, one way that organisms gene can replace human genes to fight diseases.
