Example of an incremental innovation is the introduction of different flavours by coca-cola. Example of radical innovation is the green seeker technology an agricultural innovation which scans the surface of leaves to determine if the crop is deficient in nitrogen.

It a radical innovation in the sense that before it advent, crop farmers have had to rely on laboratory analysis of the soil to know if there is sufficient nitrogen for the plant. However, with the advent of this innovation, determining the nitrogen need of a plant is just a scan away
