Personal question can you move out in the state of Texas from your home at the age of 17? I’m not sure my parents would give permission but they are threatening that they will kick me out and just wanted to know if that’s legal

Answer:

No you have to be at least 18 years old. At that age you are considered an adult so, you can leave on your own.

Answer:

At the age of 17 you may not move out legally without parental consent. If the 17 yr. old has been legally emancipated by a local or state court. The majority age of moving out is 18 yrs. old. This is when you become a legal adult. In TX parents and guardians are responsible for children under the age of 18.

If your parents are threatening to kick you out then that is technically parental consent. If your birthday is soon then you should wait till then. Otherwise you need to get your parent's consent or you'll be reported as a runaway

Hope this helps!!!
