n Chapter 12, the author states “much more money is spent on the cure and control of disease than on the prevention of disease in the first place.” Write a letter to the editorial board of your local newspaper or to your local politician either defending or rejecting that expenditure, citing the ramifications of choosing one over the other.

Answer:

Respected Sir,

With due respect I would like to say that we spend a lot of money on curing diseases rather than the prevention of diseases. As we can predict, the cost of curing a disease is far more than preventing a disease. Then why not we take certain measure to promote cleanliness so that diseases can be prevented.

Kindly, take into notice that a supply of clean, filtered water is made to the house- holds. The water used by farmers for irrigation be clean so that fresh vegetables and fruits be available. In this way, there will be lesser people getting sick.

Thanks
