Explanation:

From the diagram provided above,

In the theorem of a triangle, the sum of the opposite interior angle of a triangle equals to the exterior angle of that triangle.

Therefore, the interior opposite angle of this triangles are

(x + 40) degree and (3x + 10) while the exterior angle = 6x degree.

Base on the theorem above

x + 40 + 3x + 10 = 6x

then solve for x

4x + 50 = 6x

6x - 4x = 50

2x = 50

divide by 2

x = 50/2

x = 25.

Therefore , the exterior angle in the diagram = 6 x 25

= 600/4

= 150 degree.

The value of the exterior angle is 150 degree
