Explanation:

For the square roots, write the radicand as a multiple of a perfect square. For example:

√27 = √(9 × 3) = 3√3

√72 = √(36 × 2) = 6√2

√¾ = √(¼ × 3) = ½√3

For the cube roots, write the radicand as a multiple of a perfect cube. For example:

∛16 = ∛(8 × 2) = 2∛2

∛(27/8) = 3/2
