Answer:

484 m²

Explanation:

The figure is composed of a circular end and a curved surface

area of circle = πr² ← r is the radius

A = π × 7.1² = 158.37 m²

area of curved surface = πrs ← s is the slant height

here s = 14.6, thus

A = π × 7.1 × 14.6 = 325.66 m²

Surface area = 158.37 + 325.66 ≈ 484 m²

Answer:

484 {m}^(3)

Explanation:

applying Pythagorean theorem

(7.1)^(2) + {x}^(2) = 14.6^(2) \\ then \\ {x}^(2) = 14.6^(2) - 7.1^(2) \\ {x}^(2) = 162.72 \\ x = √(162.72) \\ x = 12.7573m

area of a cone :

\pi \: r(r + \sqrt{( {h}^(2) + {r}^(2) )} )

substitute r and h

A =484.02
