g(x) = 0

2x-1 = 0

2x = 1

x = 1/2

p(x) = 4x^3 - 12x^2 + 14x - 3

= 4*(1/2)^3 - 12*(1/2)^2 + 14*1/2 - 3 ( please try the calculation on a paper )

the remainder is 3/2
