Find the slope of a line parallel to the line through the given points p(-2,4) q(6,-2)

the answer is -3/4


what i did was: took the -2-4/6-(-2) solved and got -6/8 i symplified and the answer is -3/4

(-2-4)/(6+2)= -6/8= -3/4
