A cylindrical bucket 14 cm in radius is filled with water to some height od a rectangular solid size 28cm × 11cm × 10cm is immersed in water find the height by which water rises in the bucket

Answer: 15cm

Step by step:
the volume of the rectangular solid is 28*11*10 = 3080 cm^3. To find the height of water risen, we use the volume of cylinder equation 1/3*pi*r^2*height and use the total as the volume of rectangular solid.

So 1/3*pi*14^2*height = 3080
use algebra to find height. it will be 15cm.
