Answer:

Hallway is 12 meters long

Explanation:

2x + 3 = 27

Subtract 3 from both sides

2x+3−3=27−3

2x=24

Divide both sides by 2

2x / 2 = 24 / 2

x = 12

Answer:

Explanation:

3 meters more then twice the length of the hallway is 27 meters...

let h represent the length of the hallway

3 + 2h = 27

2h = 27 - 3

2h = 24

h = 24/2

h = 12 .....so the hallway is 12 meters <===
