let m = number of movies

so this equation is :

A = 129 + 7.99m

You Tube...flat rate of 144 plus 4.99 for each movie

let m = number of movies

Y = 144 + 4.99m

they want to know when they will be equal, so set them equal

129 + 7.99m = 144 + 4.99m

7.99m - 4.99m = 144 - 129

3m = 15

m = 15/3

m = 5

so they are equal when 5 movies are rented

dollar amount when bills are equal....sub in 5 for m in either equation

A = 129 + 7.99m Y = 144 + 4.99m

A = 129 + 7.99(5) Y = 144 + 4.99(5)

A = 129 + 39.95 Y = 144 + 24.95

A = 168.95 Y = 168.95
