Answer:

NOTE: This is done on a Windows 10 OS

  • Create local account with password
  1. Open 'Settings'.
  2. Click on 'Accounts'.
  3. Click on 'Family and other users'.
  4. Click on 'Add someone else to this PC' (located in the 'Other users' section).
  5. Don't enter an e-mail or phone number. Instead, click on 'I don't have this person's sign-in information'.
  6. This will take you to create a Microsoft account. Instead of doing that, click on the 'Add a user without a Microsoft account' link at the bottom.
  7. Fill in the form with the username, password and security questions if needed (these questions will help you recover access to your account if you forget your password).
  8. Now you can switch to the new local acount by clicking on 'Start Menu', then click the user icon and finally select the new local username.
  9. That's about it. You can now login with the new local user created.

  • Set a screen saver
  1. Open 'Settings'.
  2. Click on 'Personalization'.
  3. Click on 'Lock Screen'.
  4. Click on 'Screen saver settings'.
  5. This will pop up a new window, where you can select the screen saver you wish to use, the waiting time for the screen saver to be activated and power managment options too.
  6. One you got your screen saver, click on the 'Apply' button, and then on the 'Ok' button.
  7. That's about it. Your screen saver will active from now on.
